Go Improve is delighted to volunteer to ensure swift transportation of critical bloods and other items for the NHS – collaboration achieving shared objectives. Applying this ethos in business and personal lives contributes to a better world.
Volunteering for SERV Kent Blood Runners, a vital volunteer organisation that supports the NHS in the UK by providing a rapid delivery service of critical medical supplies. Here’s a little of what they do:
Urgent deliveries of blood products, which are often needed in emergencies or surgeries, between hospitals and other healthcare facilities and Air Ambulance. This ensures the NHS has the supplies they need, when they need them.
Unlike regular NHS delivery services, SERV Kent operates out of hours, at weekends and public holidays – a 24/7/365 service – providing a crucial safety net during times when resources might be stretched.
SERV Kent carries not only blood, but also medical samples that require urgent testing, breast milk for neonatal units, supplies for at-home dialysis patients, and other essential medical equipment.
By providing this free service, SERV Kent alleviates pressure on the NHS budget, allowing them to focus those resources on patient care, ultimately contributing to better patient care throughout the UK.
